With a chocolatey twist on this classic treat, these chocolate rice cereal bars have a smooth chocolatey taste with a nice crunch. Best of all, they are super easy to whip up. Even the kids could help!
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
- 2 packages of mini marshmallows
- 10 cups of crisp rice cereal
- 1 1/3 cups mini chocolate chips
Spray a 9×13 pan with non stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large pot, on low heat, heat butter and marshmallows until fully melted. Stir in cocoa powder until well blended. Next, pour in half of the mini chocolate chips. Next, slowly add in crisp rice cereal and mix well until fully combined.
Pour mix into prepared 9×13 pan, using buttered hands or spatula to evenly press down. Sprinkle remaining mini chocolate chips on the chop of bars. Let cool for 15 minutes.
