Parenting is a 24/7 around the clock job. We all give it our best and most days, we are all winning.
However, there’s those times when you’re sick, your kids are sick, or maybe you have the world’s worst period (us moms have been there).
Regardless of what life has thrown your way to temporarily shift you off balance of epicness, this list will provide you with parenting hacks for when you just can’t even.
🤷🏼♀️ Sometimes there’s an important place to go but your kids aren’t looking (or smelling) their freshest. Baths are in order but there’s no time. hack; Fresh change of clothes, baby wipes to clean off the ickies and stickies and maybe some baby powder (or dry shampoo for big kids) in their hair and they will look and smell seriously fresh. Just make sure they get a bath later that night. 🙃 🙏
🍽 Dirty dishes are a lingering sorrow in a parent’s life. We all do them every day and we do our best to obtain a fresh kitchen. But let’s say you aren’t able to get them all done right then. I’m here for you, my friend. hack; do a half a sink of dishes so it’s not so bad. Then take your handy dandy dish soap and squirt it all over the remaining dirty dishes. Then spray with water. Let’s call it a pre-wash. It sounds insignificant, but it actually does make the sink appear to be a little more under control. (Ha) 🙏
💃🏻 Exercise is important and we all know it, so I’m not going to drone on about that. But rather speak on the difficulties of finding time during those days that the monsters, ahem… I mean children.. won’t let you do your typical work out. hack; put on their fave music and get up and dance with them! Be silly! Shake it out! You’ll feel good and you will all have fun. 🙏
